We designed a new swimming pool and gym as an extension to an existing large house. The pool structure was reinforced concrete and included curved pool walls and foundation for the roof. The roof was timber supported on a steel portal frame to provide clear spans over the whole area and to avoid any bracing in the glazed elevations. The coordination of the details of the structure was aided by modelling the building in Revit allowing 3D views to be created as necessary.
