This is a mixed use development of residential and commercial properties on a brown field site previously occupied by an industrial laundry.
The residential element consists of 91 apartments spread over six blocks of four and six storeys with underground car parking whilst the commercial element consists of three blocks each of three storeys. Construction is generally in-situ reinforced concrete flat slabs supported by RC columns with building stability provided by concrete shear walls located around lift cores and staircases and at other discreet positions. The foundations comprise in-situ reinforced concrete raft type foundations taken down into the underlying London clays. Being a brownfield site, this project was therefore subjected to an extensive intrusive contamination survey and monitoring.
