This project provides two floors of residential accommodation over a two-storey library and plant space along with four terraced houses all on the site of an existing library and health clinic.

The library and flats are provided with a reinforced concrete flat slab structure on piled foundations. The substructure is on two levels to fit with the existing slope of the site. Stability is provided by a reinforced concrete stair and lift core. The terraced houses are of load bearing masonry construction, supporting beam and block ground floors along with upper floors of timber and steelwork. The foundations are trench fill footings.
